It’s been a while, so here is our issue 5 update to get you up to speed with everything going on
The story so far
Please note- we will be talking about plot points from previous issues. If you don’t want to be spoiled, you can get the previous four issues via Ko-Fi, Canary Comics, Bookbugs and Dragontales and Beccles Books (with Eaton Post Office available as a pickup point).
Still with us? OK this is your last warning before we get into spoiler territory or alternatively you can watch the trailers below.
So we’ve teased this for a couple of issues now, but this is where it kicks off- Evil aliens called the Zedites have grown tired of Mega Fox failing to take over Earth and so have used their power to invade via AK Girl’s mind. However, they realise they need to keep her occupied, so bring in an all-too willing accomplice in the form of Mega Fox’s former lieutenant Squirmy, a liquid metal squirrel who felt abandoned when Mega Fox went through the warp to take over Earth.
Issue 5 update- Art
OK so you may have seen previous issue 5 update trailers where we introduced Claude as our artist for this issue. Unfortunately, he had to bow out due to scheduling and work related issues (which is totally fair enough).
After some feedback (shoutout Susie Gander), we decided to change the format for this issue. What this means is we have a 20 page main story (art by Capitaine Renard), an additional short story (art by ElBunny) and for the first time bonus issues Yes Sensei (story by Ielle Palmer, art by Danielle Gransaull) and Revelation (Art by BlueIke) will be available in print form.
Here is some WIP previews
Yes Sensei ( Story by Ielle Palmer, art by Danielle Gransaull, video by John Paul Guerra)

Issue 5 update- Release date
Thanks to a generous donation by Syos The Spaniel, I can confirm we will be at Norcon on the 24th and 25th September. Our aim is to have the issue ready for launch then, alongside the other four issues.
As we complete more artwork, we will have more previews and trailers. Depending on when the issue is ready we may do another launch event outside of Norcon but we need to make sure the issue is ready before that!
This project only works because of the people who made it happen. A massive thank you to Rev701 and Syos The Spaniel for the cameo slots (we will also be including cameos by Van Hikari and Gizzy Linnell, two long-term supporters who have been a big part of the comic).
This comic doesn’t happen without the creative team behind it- Nicholas Webb, Strider Syd, Joe Draco Petterson, Saltheartfreak, Emily Bandicoot and Anon worked hard to get the current four issues of Reynard City Chronicles out there. Artists like Susie Gander, Dan Butcher, GreyofPTA, Kendall Collins, HM Studios, Ghostlyfelis and so many more have made important contributions.
As mentioned earlier, John Paul Guerra handles our comic channel, but he is also responsible for our roleplay forum and has produced some excellent fanart and fanfic for us.
We are so grateful to get support from local and independent businesses like Visualise (who made this fab website!), Baobab Marketing, Edward Couzens-Lake as well as our crowdfunding backers like BP Bludgeon, Steakokidney, Sharon Banham and so many more!
If you would like to know more about Reynard City or have any questions, please fill in the form!
