So for those of you wondering here is a quick rundown of why Reynard City Chronicles is now on www.reynardcitychronicles.com as opposed to www.reynardcity.com
We will also be covering a few other Reynard City Chronicles FAQs we’ve mentioned before, but we felt this was a good time to give everyone a recap.

Why the name change?

While there were some issues we had with hosting, this was also a good chance to offer a clean break- Reynard City Chronicles is a reboot of our original Reynard City stories, and when considering whether to stick with the name or go for a new one it made sense to go for something that reflects the new story.

What is the difference between Reynard City and Reynard City Chronicles?

In both cases you get the same basic story- Three superhero foxes come to Earth to stop an evil robot fox. The main three include Vibes aka AK Girl, a cheeky psychic vixen whose weakness is she inflates on contact with caramel, Sal aka Wondervixen (A former child talent show contestant with a dark secret) and Guillermo aka Hyper Rob (The son of a gangster, determined to right his wrongs).

The original Reynard City webcomics were 22 pages long and the aim was to get them out once every two months. Unfortunately delays and other problems meant this proved difficult. So we decided that a better approach was to do one 40 page graphic novel a year, giving the artists time to work on it while also allowing for us to focus our resources on supporting those artists.

Another major difference is in how the story is told- in Reynard City Chronicles #1, it is told more from Vibes’ perspective, allowing more of a way into the world.

Why are you charging for Reynard City Chronicles when the original webcomics were free?

Again, this goes back to the feedback we got. A big criticism (especially for the earlier issues) was consistency- both in story and art terms. This was not a lot to do with the artists and a lot to do with decisions I made.

We want you to have the best quality, but equally a big part of that is making sure the artists are supported too- the more support in financial terms we get, the more we can give back to the people that make this happen!
