The biggest Fanart Friday yet?

So each month we do a Fanart Friday video. Despite the name, it’s not just fanart, we also cover commissions as well. Last month was a special one, including a special announcement. So the thought that we could top it seemed unlikely. But this month everyone outdid themselves!

The theme: Love

So given we’re doing a Fanart Friday in February, it made sense that love would be the theme. And the range of pics we got on this theme was impressive!

Non-themed art

While we did state a theme for this month, we also had a great range of artwork and so wanted to reflect the range we had. A particular theme seems to be Queen Vibes, inspired by artwork from ElBunny in Reynard City Chronicles issue 5 (trailer below for context).

It was amazing to see people post artwork and then post artwork inspired by the other artwork and for this to grow Bowsette style. As for if we’ll see more Queen Vibes? There will be an upcoming video on this but if you want to see more this Deviantart post goes into more detail!

As an added bonus, we’ve also been doing variant covers based on the top 5 covers in this video

This month we have not one but two!

So who won?

In case you didn’t watch the video at the top, a big congrats to Vocalrvbplayer and Emily Bandicoot, who both won this month! Given we had a whole bunch of themed and non-themed art it seemed only fair to give prizes for both. Thanks again to Skai and Starlight for judging.

Next month is a fun one- it’s an OC month! We want to see your original Reynard City characters!

In order to help with this, we have created a template to help you come up with your creations.

For next month’s Fanart Friday, I’m also happy to announce our next guest judge is a fantastic judge of character, Life Beside The Tracks creator Kendall Collins. If you’re looking for inspiration, his work is a delightful range of interesting characters in a more grounded anthro world. He’s also done some great crossover pics with us.
