It has been a while, so wanted to give you an issue 5 update. Sadly we start off with some bad news, but also the chance that we can make things better.
The first issue 5 update is a sad one- Our issue 5 artist Claude has decided to pull out. This means that we will be looking for a new artist (and more info on this to follow). Here is a tease of some WIP he was working on
It should also be said that we still have three issue 5 cameo slots available from our Ko-Fi shop. For £100, you (your original character or someone you want to give it to) get featured in the comic , a gift package, a print copy of issue 5 when it’s finished and the digital boxset of four previous issues plus additional bonus content.
A massive thank you to Rev701 for being the first person to take one of our cameo slots, as well as Morgan S Comnick for being our latest Patreon backer and Van Hikari for increasing his donation.
What happens next
As part of our issue 5 update, there are some positives here. I had some excellent feedback talking to Susie Gander, who has been part of our project pretty much from the start. My aim will be to reduce the issue 5 story to 20 pages. Don’t be alarmed- this will be about improving the quality of the story and I still want to maintain that.
I also still want to provide 40 pages of content, so I am considering putting in mini comics, either older or new ones depending on how we get on.
It can’t be emphasised enough- in order to make this work we need your support. By buying the comics, donating to our crowdfund pages as well as sharing our posts you are doing your bit to get this project out there. This is not the work of one person but a whole team and for me if that means cutting back on what I want in order to make this better for everyone then that’s fine.
Keep an eye on the site for the next issue 5 update, in the meantime if you have any further questions you can use the contact form or email firstname.lastname@example.org
