Our plan for this year has been to launch Reynard City Chronicles Issue 2 at London MCM this October. Now I am very happy to confirm that this morning we have confirmed our London MCM table!
What is London MCM?
Simply put London MCM is one of a number of MCM conventions in the UK, taking place in May and October. However, if you’ve ever been to the Excel Centre you will know that both the venue and event is massive.
This year it takes place over the 25-27th October. I will be in the Comic Village, alongside my friend and promoter Gizzy Linnell, who has been brilliant in spreading the word, not just at London MCM but also at Norcon, London Film and Comic Con, our Castle Mall Made In Norwich stand and all kinds of other events.
Why are you going to London MCM?
There are a few reasons why we attend London MCM. In many respects, we attend it for the same reason we’ve been to other comic cons, Latitude and the Edinburgh Fringe-
1. To promote and sell the comic/merchandise
2. Spread awareness of Reynard City and get more people looking
3. Meet new people- Whether celebrities, comic fans, cosplayers or whoever, it’s always nice to get out there and meet everyone and get to know them.
4. Potential new artists/creative talent- Never rule it out!
5. Because it’s a nice break and it’s fun!
Why are you asking for sponsorship/support?
Simply put- the more help we can get the better. We are massively grateful for the support we have received from the likes of Visualise (who made the website you are looking at now!), Meditation PT, Minuteman Press and more, not to mention the awesome people who have sold the comic as well as our crowdfunders.
The more support we get now, the more we can give back later on. If we have a good con and sell lots of comics and merchandise, then that means we can do more commissions and give more to artist’s Ko-Fis, Patreons etc, as well as giving money to the local producers who make our merchandise.
Furthermore, Nicholas Webb and Strider Syd worked for a year on Reynard City Chronicles Issue 1 and if you buy a copy you are giving money to them. Likewise, when Issue 2 is ready Joe Draco Petterson will get his cut for Issue 2. This is a promise.

What will I be able to get at London MCM?
There will be merchandise, how much is available will depend on our budget but there will be print copies and hoping to get mugs, stickers, postcards and hopefully some chocolate as well!
We will be able to sign copies, though there won’t be an artist on the stand so any artwork will be my doodling!
Please comment below if you are going to be at London MCM or if you have any questions. Thanks once again to all our awesome artists, our sponsors and everyone who supports us!
