Norcon 2017 report

Norcon 2017 marked the first time that the con took place over 2 days. This is the first year we have been to the Norfolk Showground. And I am happy to report we had a terrific time!

For those of you who don’t know Norcon is short for Norwich Sci-Fi Con. As the name suggests it features cosplayers, traders, celebrity guests, Q and As and a lot more. Furthermore we were fortunate enough to be opposite Knight Rider (signed by The Hoff himself)

Our team on the table consisted of Gizzy (who setup the day before we got there and was also part of the incredible crew of volunteers who worked so hard on the day) and Raye Springall (aka RayeRayeChan). We also had help from two of our sponsors- Gail from D’Almaine photography as well as Jo and Jim Keeble from Visualise (the fantastic people who made our table happen.

Overall it was a terrific event- as well as selling some merchandise to support our artists we also made some fantastic contacts (including a great chat with Chris Barrie who played Rimmer from Red Dwarf as well as The Brittas Empire and Tomb Raider among others).

A special shoutout to Mark Dean who organises this event- it has been amazing to see how quickly this event has grown and progressed in a relatively short space of time. A big thanks to for all our sponsors, Patreon backers and supporters who helped us get there, not to mention all our awesome artists!

Overall it was a great event in a location that was delightfully scenic. We should be back next year and if we can keep getting more support from you fantastic people we will be heading out to more events to meet more awesome people like the ones below.
