So this Reynard City animation update is here to tell you what we have planned, where we are and what you can do to help make it happen. If there is anything you want to know about please either comment or send a message with the form below!
The plan
So in recent times we finished the Reynard City comic projects. While the main series is finished, we are also in the process of producing covers for Iwfan 53’s short stories (available here) and Fanart Friday is also continuing, see video below!)
As a quick recap, the original Reynard City series started off as webcomic only. While we didn’t get a chance to finish the original series all issues are available for free- you can read them in the archive section here or you can watch them on John Paul Guerra’s comic Youtube channel (examples below!)
Last year we finished Reynard City Chronicles, a series of graphic novels that told a complete story in nine issues. This is now available in our Ko-Fi shop in both print and digital form.
The plot on the surface is simple. Three superhero foxes join forces to stop an evil robot fox and his cohorts.
So far, so typical Saturday morning stuff.
But there’s a bit more to it and part of that is down to the characters. AK Girl is a psychic supervixen who inflates on contact with caramel, a bizarre mix of earnestness and energy. Her best friend Wondervixen carries a dark secret that deeply affects her.
Add to that the range of enemies they deal with include a disgruntled former caterer, a being who controls the dimension between space and time and aliens who invade via AK Girl’s mind (long story!) and you have a story that is both wacky and bizarre but also has heart.
The next goal: Reynard City Animation
Thanks to your support, animator Jimferno, concept artist MercenaryMaster and our fabulous voice cast we were able to put together an animated trailer for the final Reynard City Chronicles issue.
But we aren’t stopping there!
The goal for Reynard City animation wasn’t just to do one promo trailer.
We want to do a full series.
In order to get to a series, we want to do a pilot.
In order to do a pilot, we want to get people on board who can get it to the best possible quality that our creative talent, our incredible fan community and those yet to discover us deserve.
To get there, we are working on three Reynard City animation shorts- One introducing AK Girl, one introducing Wondervixen, one introducing Hyper Rob, each one building up the world of Reynard City.

I had a dream come true at Liverpool comic con where I finally got to meet the voice of Rogue Lenore Zann and give comics/scripts to the amazing voice actors behind X-Men and X-Men 97. It was a massive influence on me and the Reynard City animation project.
People have asked if we will pitch the Reynard City animation project to the likes of Glitch Productions. I will have more to say on this in a video soon but the short summary is we need to produce something that will get their attention!
