Reynard City Chronicles issue 8 is out now!
Of course you want a bit more than that in a blog, so here is a quick roundup of what you need to know about Reynard City Chronicles issue 8.
SPOILER ALERT! WE RECOMMEND READING ISSUES 1-7 FROM OUR SHOP BEFORE READING ON! DON’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED!
The story so far
The art

Blueike returns from issue 7 to provide the art for this first in the comic’s two part-finale. We see the consequences of Vibes’ actions and how her good intentions result in some potentially universe-breaking results.
What BlueIke brings is a great energy and vivid colour, perfect for the trippy wackiness to come!
Where to get it
Reynard City Chronicles issue 8 is available in both digital and print form (Please allow at least two to three weeks for delivery, if there are any problems with deliveries we will let you know!)
Some people may ask “Why do we pay ___ for this?” The answer is pretty simple- Our artists work hard on this project. We give a cut of every issue (print and digital) to our artists in addition to shares of our crowdfunding, merchandise and other sources of funding as this is the fairest way to both acknowledge their efforts and to have the means to allow them to work with us.
Sneak previews
Still weighing up whether you want to get the comic? Check out some preview trailers below!
Also while we’re here (time of writing) you can join us at Norcon 2024 where we will be selling the comic (more info here)
For those wondering about our issue 7 animated trailer, Jimferno is currently working on that, crowdfunders will have access to previews (info below)
Also we are 25% of the way with MissaZane’s Insect Girl cosplay commission goal, all support is much appreciated.
Reynard City Chronicles issue 8 reviews and feedback

We’ve posted out some copies for previews and here is the feedback we got. It’s important to stress that this is not necessarily the reviews of our team, nobody was paid for these reviews and what is posted below is their views (some editing may be done for typos but not content!)
“I love the mix of comedy and seriousness in the comic. Also I like how you sneakily add topics in the comics” Fleetwaychaser (https://www.deviantart.com/fleetwaychaser)
“All the wackiness of a Saturday Morning cartoon, but without the cereal. “ GreyofPTA (https://www.deviantart.com/greyofpta)
“The artwork in this episode is amazing! It’s bright and full of colour. Very inviting! The story is as good as the other issues, it starts off quite funny but gets serious with nods to mental health and mind palaces, then leaves you with a cheeky ending. 100% recommend!” Sarah Barron, Rainbow Dandelion Crochet (https://x.com/sarahbarron1985 )
“Action-packed, funny and full of 80s cartoony goodness! Reynard City does it again!”
Adventures of Lollipop (http://www.adventuresoflollipop.com/ )
“The artists for these comics do an amazing job” Omega1518, Deviantart

Special thanks
Reynard City Chronicles issue 8 would not exist without some very special people. Blueike we’ve already mentioned but worth mentioning again…because he’ll be back for issue 9!!!
He is currently looking over the script for the final Reynard City Chronicles issue and I’m so excited that he has agreed to do the finale with us!
Next up are the fabulous folk at Visualise who make this website possible and Minuteman Press who create all the print merch for us!
For this specific issue I am super grateful to all our backers, both in terms of the issue sponsors and cameo backers. It’s thanks to you we were able to give more money direct to our team in order to get this issue made!
I also want to give some additional shoutouts to Jed Soriano, Kendall Collins, Adventures of Lollipop, Gizzy Linnell, Kaleb Spiller, Christine Roberts, AJ Deane, our incredible voice cast, the #indiecomics promotion people, everyone who supports #CreativeBizHour, Susie Gander, Dan Butcher, Moira Harragan, Joanna Swan, Van Hikari, John Paul Guerra and so many more people who make up our community and make it special.
It’s been a long time getting to this point and I am hoping you’ll enjoy the finale as it comes. In the meantime, please support and spread the word as much as you can so that we can give back to the people who make this project possible. Thank you!
