Reynard City started off as an idea, nothing more than some rough scripts and doodles based off a love of Sonic, X-Men and various other things (see the video below). But thanks to some artists, creative talent and supporters, it has become more than that, which is why we wanted to talk about why this is your project too and why we need your support.

Not a one man show
I sometimes get people saying “This is your passion” or “your project.” The truth is there is no way this project works with one person alone- Visualise made our website, John Paul Guerra does a whole video channel for us, not to mention all the creative talent that goes behind it.
I did also have someone say to me “Why not make Reynard City on your own?” The truth is, I like working with artists. I also know how hard it can be getting a break when it comes to media work, so if I can support them then I am happy to.
But it is also great for me too- I still love getting artwork based on something I wrote, often surpassing the idea I had in my head!
Make it better

One bit of feedback we got from the original webcomic series (Still available here, still free!) was that it needed to be better, that we should put more money into it and improve the quality.
Of course, the challenge is everyone working on this (myself included) have day jobs and other work to do. Balancing this out can be difficult. Therefore the decision was made to change the new comics from 22 pages to 40, with the aim of producing at least one a year.
This new format has allowed us to change up the writing, give more money to one artist/set of artists and make the system a bit tighter. Artists like Nicholas Webb, Strider Syd, Joe Draco Petterson and Emily Bandicoot have all added their distinct styles with a volume of work that showcases their talents.
How you can help
Getting a comic out there is hard. We have worked hard to make this project better and to keep that up we need support. We are massively grateful to everyone who supports us (see the pics below) but there is the chance to achieve more.

3. Donate via Paypal, Patreon or Ko-Fi ( A single pound or dollar could make a massive difference!)
4. If you’re in Norwich, buy a copy of issue 2 from Bookbugs and Dragontales or Canary Comics (issue 1 currently also available at Beccles Books, hoping to add issue 2 there soon)
5. Fanart, stories etc much appreciated, check out our Fanart Friday playlist
6. Get a $10 writing commission, more info here
But what about you?
It’s a fair question to ask- Do we back people online? The answer is yes, we do. Whether it’s Patreon, commissions or a sponsored video, we’ve been helping a number of creative talents out there, as well as using local businesses for our website, promotional material and merchandise.
In other words, with your help, we can achieve a lot more. Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to share Reynard City, to donate their time, money and effort. This is not calling anyone out, this is not having a go.
I believe a lot of fantastic work has gone into this project by some great people and I hope you will help me support them as much as they have supported me.
