We did a spoiler Q and A for our supporters (Still available if you donate via Patreon , Ko-Fi, Paypal and Deviantart )
We got some non-spoiler questions, so decided to post up a Reynard City Non-Spoiler Q and A. And we thought while we’re here let’s make it a non-spoiler Q and A blog too!

Costume Swap by Spaton37
Mercenary Master: When it comes to AK Girl and Wondervixen, are they one in the same or are they separate characters?
Vibes/AK Girl is the quirky and energetic superpsychic with the black and red costume (with an AK symbol) while Sal/Wondervixen is the more focused (albeit with her own inner demons)
You can learn more about the characters with the playlist here
What is the relationship status of AK Girl since Sal is with Guillermo?

AK Girl and Anthro Mark by Emily Bandicoot

Vibes has a relationship with her former radio station manager Mark and that’s all I can say (story develops from issue 1 to 5)
A very awesome anon supporter (who has helped us out a lot) gave us some very interesting questions to add to the Q and A
Anon: What encouraged you to try different art styles when telling the story?

In practical terms, a lot of artists who work with us have other projects to work on, studies, jobs etc. This means people often move on. Equally I do enjoy seeing what different people being to the table!
Was it hard to collaborate with so many artists at the same time?
I think over time you learn what works and what doesn’t. Having several people in different places doing different jobs on one story proved overcomplicated, so we simplified it to one person or close contact team per issue. Another guideline is we like to give the cover to whoever works on the main issue, as I think the job that gets the most attention should go to the person who put the most work in.
Do you ever see yourself retiring creatively from Raynard City and moving on to other projects?

Elie Summer Party Fanart
I think first and foremost I want this story to be finished and then after a break consider what I want to do. Some people have asked if we could do a film, animated series or video game. The simple answer is the more people back us, the more we can do!
In the long-term, eventually I’d want to move on to something else but for me finishing off a story that we’ve been working on for over a decade is the priority.
Do you struggle with balancing character screen time in a comic?

I think there are always fan faves, sometimes characters you don’t have specific plans for. It’s tricky because you want to give everyone fair time but some stories naturally emerge, such as the dynamic between Vibes and Sal. In one instance we cut a character from the original webcomic series (Tux) because while I liked having him in as a homage to Ghost Dog Way of the Samurai he never seemed to quite fit.
It’s also worth remembering the original stories are all still there and available in the archive section of the site and definitely recommend having a readthrough!
Do you ever fear that the narrative is going too fast and not allowing itself to build up?
I think it’s 50/50- on the one hand some stories from the original webcomic either got condensed or didn’t get featured in this current series, so there are some elements that could be expanded (no pun intended!) On the other, I think some aspects of Reynard City Chronicles work better as a narrative, such as starting issue 1 from AK Girl’s perspective.
Most of all, this series allows us to properly conclude the Reynard City story. It was always my goal to have a collection you could own from start to finish and be able to read the complete narrative.
If you would like to get involved in a future Q and A, feel free to post your (non-spoiler!) questions below!

Issue 7 cameos close at the end of August

Get a cameo in issue 7 (ideal for you or as a special gift- hurry, only two slots left at time of writing!)
We have two cameo slots for issue 7 left and the deadline to claim is the end of August. The reason we do this is so the artist (the fantastic BlueIke) has time to work on it. If you’ve been reading to the end here I can confirm the issue follows on from issue 6 and is called Aftermath. Also I’m hopeful this will be complete before September 2024 and then we will begin preparing for the two part Reynard City Chronicles finale!
These cameo slots not only mean you can get a cameo in the comic (or give someone a unique gift!) but also give more money to the creative talent that has worked so hard on this comic. Click on the pic above for more info!
Big foxy thanks to our issue 6 cameo backers Rev701, Van Hikari and Syos the Spaniel, as well as Syos Spaniel and Joe Draco Petterson for taking the first two issue 7 cameo slots
