So unfortunately we didn’t hit our Kickstarter target. We’ve had some people ask questions so to clear up any confusion here is a quick Q and A.
Before we start, massive thanks to everyone who backed us and supported us!

What happens to the money?
Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform. Because we didn’t hit the target, this means you won’t be charged.
Can I still claim the reward I backed?
Some rewards are being transferred over to other sites including Ko-Fi and Patreon.

Are the comics still happening?

Reynard City Chronicles Issue 6 is scheduled to be out in September 2023 in time for the Norcon comic con. BlueIke and EmilyBandicoot have finished their stories while Elie is working on the main story Happy Ever After.
BlueIke is working on issue 7 and progressing well. I can’t share pages for that one as they follow on from events in issue 6 (you’ll understand when it’s out!)
Before that, there will be digital special editions of AK Girl Adventures and Perfect Platinum Collection, though we will hold off on print versions unless there is significant demand (simple fact is they’re expensive to produce).
What about the Lenore Zann target?
The targets have been moved to Ko-Fi and Patreon or if you prefer you can contribute directly via Paypal
Up until it is no longer viable timewise (need to arrange transport, accomodation etc) we will keep trying to raise the money to get Lenore Zann down to Norcon!
What will happen with the story? Will _____?
Sorry no spoilers! What I can tell you is a big plot development is coming with issue 6, which will be further developed in issue 7 and conclude with a two-part finale that will close the series.
What are your plans when Reynard City Chronicles is over? Have you thought about doing an animated series, video game etc?
Sprite art by Nicholas Webb
Yes we definitely have and in the past we have tried to do it ourselves. While we do have talent like voiceover artists available, I think we would benefit from working with people who have experience in delivering these kinds of projects. Equally, in order to make this viable we would need support.
It also helps if people show demand for Reynard City. We have been lucky to have had really strong support for our Fanart Friday videos this year and we have a strong core of people who work hard to spread the word and we’re grateful for that.
Mainly though I want to finish the series so that there is something for any interested animators, studios etc to work from.
With regard to what these projects would be I would love to do a classic animated series in the style of a Sonic Satam, Thundercats 2011 or Swat Kats. On the video game side, I love that side scrolling beat em ups have come back into fashion- I would a Streets of Rage 4/Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge with a Reynard City twist.
You didn’t cover my question!
If you want to know more about the comic, you can go to www.reynardcitychronicles.com or email reynardcity@gmail.com if you have a specific question.
Once again big thanks to everyone who supported us on this campaign. Even though we didn’t hit the target, it was great to see people backing us and doing what they could to help. You inspire us to keep going!
