As the title suggests, Emily Bandicoot is the latest addition to our art team. You can check out her Deviantart page here or follow her on Twitter.
Making the choice
There was quite a process in choosing an artist for Reynard City Chronicles Issue 3. A lot of people showed interest, but what stood out for me about Emily Bandicoot is the fact she was very keen and enthusiastic. She asked all the right questions and I admire her drive and desire.
A 40 page graphic novel is a big project to take on, I appreciate that. One of the reasons we changed the format for Reynard City Chronicles is that we wanted to give artists more time to get the work done, as well as increasing the amount of time they are earning money from crowdfunding, merchandise etc.
Before I even approached Emily, I was impressed with the amount of work she put into getting her Crash Bandicoot fanart and other artwork out there.
Also I just really love the style and I feel that the cute, almost Disney look will be a great contrast with what’s to come in Reynard City Chronicles Issue 3.
Why can’t you just tell us the title?
Sorry- For those who know the comic, the cover of Joe Draco Petterson’s upcoming Reynard City Chronicles Issue 2 is a strong hint toward what’s to come. It is also hinted at in Reynard City Chronicles Issue 1 (those who are particularly sharply observant need to pay attention to the background in some pages!)
