Of course before we start with the Reynard City movie pitches it helps if you know what Reynard City is, so here’s a classic John Paul Guerra video to give you the intro!

Susie Gander kicks us off with some good tips on how to pitch, something that’s worth remembering when working on your own projects.

“On a regular day of Hero work, Vibes and the gang encounter a vixen who claims to be an AK Girl from an alternate universe. One similar to their world but where certain events happened and ended much differently. And now with both timelines in danger of being destroyed, the two versions of the RC Crew how to join forces and find a way to save them both.
The idea is that it crosses over the new, main “Chronicles” timeline with the original series timeline that started it all. Giving a new adventure for both, as well as a form of closure for the Original timeline after so long.” John Paul Guerra

““Film one covers Vibes discovering that she’s AK Girl, meeting up with Guillermo and climaxing in her first fight with Caramel Girl, add some extra stuff with her and Guillermo fighting bad guys in the middle or maybe more detailed flash back to stuff on Animal Kingdom to help reach proper movie length…”
“…That way you can have another movie that’s all about the “Perfect Platinum Saga” (Issues 2 and 3) because that stuff is tonally different (fundamentally a happy story about rediscovering superpowers, versus a much darker story story about being betrayed by your friends /being unable to control your own worst impulses) from the initial Vibes discovers her powers story to the point that I think having it in a second movie is just a good idea, Empire Strikes back following a New Hope if you get what I mean (also Winter Soldier following First Avenger)”
Allow me to do even more of my own horn tooting and present “Reynard City: A More Perfect Union” (that’s just the title, it would cover more than just that one story) as a movie, with the presumption that the audience know nothing about Reynard City going into it.
What I think would be especially interesting about this particular set up is that we can do something that I can really only recall one other movie doing… Lego Batman, in that we’re doing a movie that’s technically an origin story, except not for the hero themselves but rather for their sidekick.
I think it’d be interesting to see how much we can get the audience to identify with Platinum/consider her to be the main character more than Sally/Wondervixen in a story where for the vast majority of it Platinum has no physical presence….”
