Reynard City Gift Guide 2023
Our Reynard City Gift Guide not only covers Christmas but also birthdays, anniversaries and all kinds of occasions. Before we begin- remember that “it’s the thought that counts” doesn’t mean “I remembered to buy a gift” but “I put thought into this gift for you!”
Please note- Some products/companies featured in the Reynard City Gift Guide might be limited to certain local areas/countries, please check their contact details before placing orders!
Special thanks to Susie Gander for the awesome artwork and Minuteman Press Norwich for producing our gift box and other print merchandise!

Art gifts

Art can be a great gift for people who want to add decoration to their home, more interesting cards to send out or a fun way to showcase gift vouchers, tickets etc. One example of this is the Norwich Gift Shop but it’s worth seeing what is available in your local area.
Another way to support artists and give people a gift is to get commissions from artists. Check out a few examples below!

Get a cameo
Most people have a famous person that they admire. Whether it’s an actor, athlete, Youtuber etc, it can be a lovely way to give them a greeting, especially if they can’t be present at an event and you want to say you’re missing them.
In our case we got a cameo from the fantastic Lenore Zann (the voice of Rogue from the original X-Men animated series, among others). Cameo is one example of sites where you can get messages like this, so it’s worth looking up different people to see if you can get a personalised message from someone’s favourite person.
Some general gift buying tips
- Expensive doesn’t always mean good- If someone doesn’t like jigsaw puzzles, spending a lot on an expensive jigsaw puzzle won’t make it better.
- Likewise if your budget is limited, a small gift that has been carefully considered will be well received.
- Look up charity shops/goodwill/flea markets- Be open-minded as you can find some cool items that people may not have thought of (also means they are less likely to get it themselves!)
- Think about what people would benefit from- if they like going to the cinema, get them a cinema gift card (same goes for particular shops and restaurants).
- If you know someone who has a creative business or project, do your best to support them. Even if you can’t buy from them, sharing posts, giving them a shoutout and telling friends and family can make a big difference.
Help make a dream come true
We have a big dream to make come true. It would be an amazing Christmas gift if you could support us. Our Ko-Fi shop includes commissions, our Christmas gift box (with art by Susie Gander) and more. You can also get Reynard City T-shirts and merchandise from our Teepublic store
Each of these contributes to our animation goal. With your help, we will produce an animated trailer if we hit £1000, featuring work from animators Jimferno and MercenaryMaster. The target is here and you can learn more here.
And in case you’re wondering about the upcoming Reynard City Chronicles issue 7 you can see more about that here.
